Make your own unique candle holder!

Let’s make a ceramic candle holder to brighten your room by day and soothe you at night with its flickering flame! The process of shaping and decorating the clay on a base is fun and easy. Every two months we’ll offer a new design: a “house” in August and September, a “tree” in October and November, and an “angel” in December and February. We will help you to create a fairy tale world for the corner of your room. Our friendly staff will help you enjoy making your candle holder, even for first-timers!

★ Number of pieces 1 candle holder ★ Months and designs - August–September: "House" (about 10cm in diameter x 18cm in height) You can choose two glaze colours (roof and wall color) from the list below. - October–November "Tree" (about 10cm in diameter x 20cm in height) You can choose one glaze colour from the list below. 　For those who participate up to Sunday, November 7, your candle holder will be available for delivery or pick up around December 10th - December–February: "Angel" (about 8cm in diameter x 12cm in height) You can choose one glaze colour from the list below; or, you can do an underglaze painting (7 colors) and apply a transparent glaze. ★ Types of glaze Oribe (green), black Oribe (black), lily glaze (blue), blue ash glaze (light blue), yellow Seto (ochre), candy glaze (brown), ash glaze (transparent) ★ Your work will be completed and available for pick up or delivery two months after the workshop. We will contact you once it is available. You can come to the museum to pick it up, or we can ship it to you (postage from ¥1100) ★ Please attend the workshop in clothes you don't mind getting dirty. Alternatively, please bring an apron. ★ As the items are ceramic, please understand that there is a possibility of breakage and flaws due to firing.
